Tom joined ALG in 2008 as a Production Assistant on the Opening Celebration of the 1st Asia-Pacific Outgames. He was soon offered a full-time role and later progressed into the position of Company Administrator.
In this capacity, Tom quickly settled into a highly flexible, people-focused role. He managed the full breadth of ALG’s Human Resources functions, including new-starter compliance, onboarding and orientation, payroll, and volunteer coordination.
Working across events and entertainment, Tom also led casting processes, artist contracting, travel and accommodation logistics, and payroll management for a range of clients. His responsibilities extended into project finance, covering payroll, accounts receivable and payable, QuickBooks data entry, and petty cash.
A key part of Tom’s contribution was overseeing all project box office and ticketing operations. For clients including Midsumma Festival, Festival of Broadway, Australian Shakespeare Festival, and UTAS Conservatorium of Music, he managed event ticket builds, online and phone sales, box office staffing, and day-to-day operations.
