The Melbourne Cabaret Festival is an annual celebration of the artform, attracting a diverse range of performers and audiences.
It is one of Victoria’s fastest growing Festivals, having attracted 8,000 audience members in 2012 which is 83% up on the previous year and 150% up on the inaugural Festival in 2010. The not-for-profit Festival is currently funded entirely through fundraising campaigns, its membership program, strategic sponsorships and ticket sales.
Oversaw the setup and delivery of ticketing operations for the Melbourne Cabaret Festival, ensuring an efficient and audience-focused ticketing experience throughout the event.
Responsibilities
- Collaborated with event producers and coordinators to establish ticketing structures and allocations
- Built and managed events within SABO (Seat Advisor Box Office)
- Trained box office staff in ticketing system use and procedures
- Maintained online ticketing and event listings across the festival period
- Processed ticket sales, exchanges, and refunds as required
- Managed and distributed complimentary ticket allocations
