As an international city of artistic innovation, Melbourne was a perfect match to join the international network of White Night events around the world. In just six years, White Night Melbourne has quickly become one of the most popular events on the city’s social calendar.
2018 saw the expansion of White Night Melbourne to regional areas to create White Night Ballarat, White Night Bendigo and White Night Geelong.
2019 saw a transformation to White Night Reimagined, a three-night winter spectacular across three of Melbourne’s inner-city parks and gardens.
Supported the operational delivery of White Night by coordinating the Event Operations Centre (EOC) and assisting the wider operations team to ensure smooth and efficient event execution across multiple festival sites.
EOC Manager
- Oversaw the setup and day-to-day running of the Event Operations Centre
- Liaised with risk management consultants regarding operational planning and EOC execution
- Coordinated with service stakeholders to meet EOC infrastructure and logistical needs
- Arranged catering, IT, security, and other essential infrastructure requirements
- Scheduled and managed deliveries to the EOC and supervised room setup
- Liaised with security providers and assisted the Head of Operations as required
Operations Coordinator
(White Night Bendigo, White Night Geelong, White Night Reimagined)
- Managed the registration, assessment, and coordination of food truck vendors
- Liaised with the Technical Manager to ensure power requirements were met
- Prepared and distributed briefing documentation for food vendors
- Organised catering for the Event Operations Centre, Green Rooms, and Staff Hubs
- Assisted in developing and implementing signage plans for operational and programming needs
- Coordinated production timelines for signage in collaboration with the Program Manager
- Managed reserved parking allocations pre-, during-, and post-event in consultation with Site Managers
- Supported Operations Managers with on-site logistics and general event coordination
Role Legacy
Contributed to the successful delivery of the large-scale event, White Night, across Victoria by ensuring cohesive operations, efficient communication, and strong logistical support across multiple festival precincts.
