Winner of five Tony Awards®, the smash-hit Old Vic production of Charles Dickens’ immortal classic A Christmas Carol comes to Melbourne’s Comedy Theatre, this holiday season.

Conceived and directed by Matthew Warchus (Matilda the Musical) and adapted for the stage by Jack Thorne (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), audiences will be welcomed into an immersive experience, brimming with music and merriment.

This timeless and uplifting story features 12 heart-warming Christmas carols, including “O Holy Night,” “Joy to the World,” and “Silent Night.”

Theatregoers will be treated to this powerful, joyous and uplifting production, as they witness one man’s emotional journey from resentment to redemption.

Worked alongside the Company Manager to deliver a the first of an annual production — from early rehearsal planning through to final performance — with a focus on communication, welfare, and day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assisted with scheduling, rehearsal coordination, and publicity calls
  • Managed all Children’s Employment requirements and permits
  • Helped establish production office communication systems and financial processes, including petty cash and per diem tracking
  • Supported company welfare and wellbeing throughout rehearsals and the season
  • Worked closely with the Head Mechanist, Stage Manager, and technical departments to maintain clear communication across teams
  • Sourced consumable products for customer pre-show experience
  • Managed company travel, accommodation, and per diem logistics to keep touring operations running smoothly
