About Midsumma Festival Inc
Midsumma is Australia’s premier queer arts and cultural organisation, bringing together a diverse mix of LGBTQIA+ artists, performers, communities and audiences.
The annual event, Midsumma Festival, expands over 22 days of summer with an explosion of queer events that center around hidden and mainstream queer culture, locally and internationally.
My Role
I worked with Midsumma across two periods — as Administration, Ticketing & Volunteer Coordinator (2008-2012) through the engagement of Adam Lowe Group to provide general management and festival management and operations services. Then in 2019 as Project Coordinator, where I was engaged to lead the proposal development for Melbourne Pride 2021 (now Victoria’s Pride).
