Creating or refining day-to-day systems that make planning, communication, and delivery more efficient.

What this is

If an operational review is the diagnosis, workflow and process design is the build. I work with you to design — and then document — the systems your team actually uses every day: how a production gets greenlit, how a tour books accommodation, how a venue handles a hirer enquiry, how a festival captures incident reports.

The aim isn’t to add bureaucracy. It’s the opposite — to make the right thing also the easy thing, so your team spends less time figuring out ‘how do we do this?’ and more time on the work that needs human judgment.

What’s included

  • Workshops with the people who actually do the work, to map the current state and identify the gaps
  • Process design — written procedures, decision trees, RACI charts where useful, kept as short as possible
  • Templates and checklists that go with the process — the actual artefacts people use
  • Tooling recommendations and, where relevant, set-up support (Microsoft 365, SharePoint, project management tools, finance integrations)
  • A handover session so the team owns the system, not me

Who it’s for

Organisations onboarding new staff often, growing past the point where ‘tribal knowledge’ is enough, or preparing for compliance and audit requirements. Often paired with — or following on from — an operational review.

Typical engagement

  • Duration: 4–8 weeks per workflow stream
  • Format: workshop-led, with written artefacts delivered iteratively
  • Pricing: project-based or retainer for ongoing improvement work
